[Solem Salute]

Very sweet and to the point. I thought the animation was very smooth and I like the modifications you made to the baby Mario sprite to make it Randy.

I was hoping for more. It was a nice concept, which was why I clicked on it, but it didn't even come close to what I had in mind. To each his own, but it would be nice if you had put a bit more effort into this.

Loved the series as a kid and the joke was so well-played it took me a second to realized what it was. The only thing to critique was that the characters were a little static, but that's okay. Great work.

Thanks for the critique, I felt the same way while in production. I upped the frame-rate to 26 per second just to help burn away some of the time spent looking at static images. It was good fun, and I'm glad the joke took you a second.

The personality of the character was a little over the top and the jokes were a little heavy-handed and drawn out. I got that the kid was absurdly infatuated with the game in the first 20 secs. Couldn't you have found anything else to make fun of after that?

That was the point. It was supposed to be over the top. I could have found something else to make fun of, hell, I could have found plenty of things. But I wanted the movie to be short. I appreciate the input though.

My only real complaint is that the potential of this feels a little wasted. If you could have just set it to the intro for "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" the video would have been at least have been worth a star more. But for something simple for your friend, it works pretty well and I loved how you made the two characters with nothing but lines.

Thanks for the advice! If I had more time, I would have even subtracted/added bits of the completed drawing to match with the beat.

Nice job on the lighting. And like some of your other submissions, your art style is both unique and wonderful to look at. For those of us that are just starting along the path of animation, you willing to share tips on how you did the lighting effect? ;-)

I had forgotten about this series. Glad you are keeping up with it. Only thing I would add is working on the audio. Here and there it is difficult to understand what people are saying, though it gets across for the most part.

That was one of the reasons I originally wasn't going to submit to NG. I know there's a lot of people that can appreciate a more sad yet hopeful story like this one here, yet there seems to be even more people that just want a good funny animation sometimes (including me, haha). And of course, it's no mystery about the MLP hate here, which was another reason I didn't want to submit this here.

It's wonderful to see people that like MLP and also hate it judging this animation for what people think it honestly succeeds at, without any need to know specifics about the characters or even a need to like the source material.
